WITH A FOREVER FOSTER

Becca passed over the Rainbow Bridge in April 2021 surrounded by her Forever Foster Family whom loved her dearly.

This sweet 16 year old puppy-faced , now deaf senior came to us by way of one of Real Time Rescue’s Board Members who had taken her in when it became clear a family member could no longer properly manage his own care, let alone hers. Becca had gotten used to scrounging the trash for human scraps and relieving herself indoors, so beyond a serious grooming to handle a coat full of mats, it was clear this little old lady was going to need time, space and a patient and kind human to be able to properly rehab. But first she needed to see our vet. She was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection and Stage 2 kidney disease, which we hope with a round of antibiotics, a change in diet and introduction of a high quality CBD oil will keep Becca comfortable from here on out! Within just a week of Becca’s surrender to RTR she was matched with the perfect “forever” foster family who had experience in all of the areas Becca was going to need support. Plus they have a 15yo border collie with kidney disease of their own! We hear she is settling quickly into her new routines and bonding with her fur-siblings and human ones too. We couldn’t be happier to have given this pup a soft, warm, loving place to land.

Due to Becca’s age and current health status RTR is not currently accepting applications for her adoption and will instead continue to raise the funds necessary to cover all costs related to her health and well-being, including food and veterinary care, while she remains in the trusted care of her current foster!
