This lucky boy gets to stay forever
with his foster fam!

At 4yrs old and 40lb, Grizzly Bear was one of a pack of six dogs that ended up at the Twentynine Palms Shelter after their owner passed away. Understandably terrified after being taken from the home he’d known his whole life, Grizzly, was so shut down in the shelter environment that we had to put a plan of action into place quickly before he lost too much more weight, or spirit. Grizz being the most sensitive of the six, had a rough go of it with the stress of losing his home, ending up in the shelter, transported to a new one and then ending up at a strange new vet to be neutered (!) all in such a short time BUT he’s healthy and has landed in an experienced foster home where he can take as much time as he needs to decompress. His fosters are working directly with RTR Board Member Stef DiOrio and have the rescue’s full support with anything he needs to start getting comfortable and building trust again. Grizzly’s forever family will need to have patience with his adjusting to yet another set of new surroundings. But he is worth it!
