HESSE, THE BEST

UP FOR FOSTER OR ADOPTION!

Hesse is a majestic 6 year old German Shepherd Dog (GSD), with a heart as great as her courage. In 2017 a few folks close to Real Time Rescue were in contact with a production company who was unable to film due to the "non-stop barking next door" to their location. Upon investigation the crew found Hesse and her brother confined in crates in a backyard and arranged for them to stay under RTR Training Consultant Stef DiOrio’s care at a boarding and training facility until filming was completed. When the dogs arrived it was clear what terrible condition they were in: flea bitten, ears torn, hair falling out, with untreated medical conditions and neglectfully undersocialized, having been left in the yard for the better part of four years. While Hesse's gentle brother was quickly adopted, our girl Hesse needed a very special kind of love, one that would move slow and allow her to learn how to trust humans and safely socialize with dogs. Since then, Hesse has bloomed into a sweet, sensitive, incredibly bright and capable companion, for the human who can respect what she needs, and love her for all of whom she is.

Hesse loves walks, car rides and fetch, but will need to be the only animal in her forever home. She would do best with patient humans who have experience with strong GSDs and no children in the home.

Considering where she started in life, she's understandably slow to trust but once she locks those deep, loving eyes on you, you're hers for life. We are very excited to meet the human who gets to help Hesse write the happy furever ending to her story. Contact us about her today!
