Molly had a large, fast growing mass on the side of her body as well as severe hip and arthritis issues. She had a very hard time walking and getting up and down. Thanks to your donations, we were able to get Molly in for surgery to remove the mass.

Molly came through surgery with flying colors. Her mom’s family pooled money so that she was able to get a hotel near the hospital and could visit Molly while she recovered. Molly went on two walks after surgery, and she was stable and healing well. After two days of recovery she was slated to go home with her mom, but unfortunately she passed in her sleep later that day.
We are heartbroken for Molly’s mom, who was working hard to better their situation. Molly’s mom has been doing okay, all things considered, and we will continue to stay close to her and support her as we can. Thank you to everyone who so generously donated to her care.

RIP Molly girl. You will be very missed.

RIP MOLLY THE HUSKY

12-year-old Molly and her mom had recently gotten into temporary housing after being homeless in LA since 2019. After the passing of her husband, Molly's mom fell on hard times and found herself on the streets. Molly's mom is diabetic and Molly was a trained support dog. She signaled her mom when it was time to eat and she was trained to respond if she passed out.

At 12 years old and with the size of the mass, we knew the risks, but Molly was extremely uncomfortable and could barely sit down with the mass on her side. After talking with the doctor and Molly’s mom, we all agreed surgery was the best route in order to better the quality of her daily life.

Molly’s pre surgery blood work looked great and the doctor was confident the mass could be removed. He worked for 2.5 hours and cut out literally THE LARGEST mass we’ve ever seen. We’ll spare you the graphic photos but let’s just say, it took up an entire surgery tray! In addition to the mass removal she got her nails trimmed and her ears cleaned.
