Hitched a ride to new orleans with her foster turned forever mamA!

Big, beautiful Roxy was surrendered to Real Time Rescue by her owner who originally adopted her from a local shelter and then kept her enclosed in an outdoor kennel 24/7 for many years. When faced with a move, Roxy was destined to go back to the shelter. Luckily she found herself a fairy dogmother in the real estate agent who stepped in and asked if we could take her under our wing instead. Roxy has been fully vetted and is now living in a foster home. Roxy is so grateful to have a chance at a new life- at around 7 years old, she is ready to experience the world and everything she has been missing all these years! Coming in at a girlish 98lbs, Roxy came into rescue needing help walking on a leash and we are you report that she is much more confident and easily walks side by side. Having lived most of her life in a kennel, her social skills with other dogs was something we worked on from the beginning, and all though Roxy can take some time to trust other dogs, she has shared space with both small, medium, and large dogs with trusted human supervision that she can check in with. She does best with mellow dogs. We will not be placing her in a home with small children. If there is another dog in the home there will be several supervised (with RTR present) meet and greets with your dog prior to her starting the process of adoption.
